Drooping of eyelid (one or both eyes). Can be since birth or in adulthood after any surgery / infection or trauma.
It can be of mild . moderate or severe forms.
Most of the times needs surgical correction.
Mild form– tightening of muscles of eyelid.
Severe Form– needs Frontalis sling surgery. It is done by using tendon from thigh / forearm or any prosthetic material as a sling to connect eyelid muscles with forehead muscles. So that eye lids moves with movement of eyebrow.
Under or over correction (can be corrected easily).
90 – 95% cases recover smoothly.
In 5 – 10 % some corrections are required.
1 to 2 hours.
Day care OR 1-2 days as in patient.
More than 95%.
Log Term effects.
Might require minor corrections if it recurs.
