CHIN SURGERY (MENTOPLASTY)
Cosmetic surgery can be performed on the chin either by increasing its projection and volume or by reducing its bony projection. This gives better shape to the face and contour of the chin. Following surgical and minimally invasive procedures can be performed on the chin .
1. Chin augmentation

- Chin reduction (bony reduction)
INDICATIONS
- Aesthetic concerns
- Hypo plastic chin
- Excessive prominence of the chin
ANESTHESIA: can be performed either under general anesthesia or local anesthesia depending on patients demands and requirement
HOSPITAL STAY: either as day care or in patient
RECOVERY:
Recovery from chin surgery depends on what type of procedure is performed. Minor procedure as dermal filler has transient recovery time. In case of fat grafting you will be asked to keep chin movements restricted for a couple of days and bandages may be applied in the initial period. Augmentation with implants requires more care with chin movements and compression garments.
