arm lift (brachioplasty)
Arm lift also called brachioplasty is the procedure that addresses excess skin of the arms. Arm lift surgery addressed this problem by incision on medial side of the arm and removing excess skin and fat and tightens arm skin giving it smooth contour.
Excess skin in the arm appears as result of:
- Weight loss
- Aging
- After liposuction
Your surgeon will discuss preoperative findings and expectations with you. Surgery will leave a scar on inner side of the arm that can extend from just below axilla to elbow. In post operative period dressings will be applied on wound and compression garment will be applied for four weeks to prevent fluid accumulation.

Wound care for two weeks will be required to achieve healing. You will be asked to apply elastic compression garments for arms for total 4 weeks. Shower can be taken after couple of days .you will be advised to avoid excessive movements of arms for initial few days.
Scar is on the medial side of the arm that is not very conspicuous but can be noticed in half sleeves and sleeveless shirts
