LIP REDUCTION

Lip reduction surgery aims to achieve harmonious relationship between upper and lower lip, as well as to attain normal lip competence. patient may present with:

protruding lips giving undesirable look.

Oral dysfunction, interference with speech, salivary control and mastication.

Procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, usually taking 1 to 2 hours depending upon patient tolerance.

Incision given at junction of wet and dry mucosa.

Surgical techniques include: Bikini lip reduction and Brazilian lip reduction.

Patients can be discharged on the same day.

Postoperative complications may include: redness, slight pain, bruising, scarring, allergic reaction.

Lip reduction is considered a safe procedure.

Non-surgical options may include: dermal fillers to cheeks to balance the look.

Foundation and concealer application to lips.

Facial exercises.

Staying hydrated to reduce inflammation.
