BUTTOCK LIFT 

Buttock lift is the surgery that increases the tone of the skin and tissues of the buttock area.

INDICATIONS

Indications for butt lift surgery are loose skin and tone of the region secondary to 

  • Weight loss
  • Aging 
  • After liposuction 

ANESTHESIA

  Performed under general anesthesia

HOSPITAL STAY

 Usually as an inpatient procedure with one night hospital stay.

RECOVERY

Recovery from this surgery usually takes a few weeks. Initially dressing will be applied on your wound. You will be advised to wear supportive garments. Prolonged sitting will be avoided and you may be asked to lie prone for some time. Drains may be placed in the wound to drain fluid.

  • Bleeding 
  • Fluid collection( seroma)
  • Wound infections 
  • Wound breakdown 
  • Unfavorable scars
  • Numbness
  • Under correction 
  • Overcorrection

1. Are scars of buttock lift conspicuous?
Scars are usually designed to be hidden in under garments .

2. What precautions I have to take in the postoperative period?
You will be advised to maintain postoperative wound care, follow instructions of your doctor for regular dressing change and keep movements limited to avoid tension on the scar.
