Botox is a protein made from Botulinum toxin, which is bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botox is a drug that weakens or paralyzes muscle. It can reduce skin wrinkles and help treat some medical conditions.

PROCEDURE

It is an office based procedure that does not need any anesthesia. The doctor use small needle to inject calculated amount of prepared BOTOX below the skin, into the muscle at multiple marked sites. Result will appear in 7 _14 days. Some patients may need a second session for correction of minor issues.

SYMPTOMS

Botox is primarily used to treat dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles that become prominent on animations). It acts by relaxing the muscles near these wrinkles. Not allowing the muscles to move reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles.

These wrinkles are mostly found on the corner of the eyes (crow’s feet). 

Forehead creases can also be decreased by Botox injections. 

Creases between the eye brows (glabellar lines). 

Eye brow lift can be done with botox.

Smile can be improved by injecting botox.

Marionette lines (lines on chin) are reduced.

Neck bands are addressed by injecting botox.
